Because of the rolling device mounted on the loading trolley, the shotpeening machine type PP8SC-DR-BO is suited for automated shotpeening of cylindrical components (shafts, pipes, axles, etc.). The equipment is constructed with a primary trolley that allows loading and unloading outside the cabin. The trolley’s entry and exit from the chamber are mechanical (motor-driven). The cylindrical components are mounted on a horizontal rotating mechanism with rotation control. The nozzles are mounted on a specific holder, which directs the peening process to the component (without flow intersections). A single axle gantry on the cabin’s ceiling allows the nozzles to move (stroke 3.000 mm). A double pressure vessel with Magnavalves allows for a continuous process with no interruptions and precise flow control.
Shotblasting machines with rotating satellites, such as the PTR-S-R, are intended to treat delicate areas in a single pass with any type of shot. A robot controls the nozzles. The machine is outfitted with a primary indexing table that allows components to enter and leave the blasting chamber. The main table has two or four satellites, and each partition is separated by a wall to avoid media leakage and noise escape in the operator’s area. One station is for loading and unloading, while the other (opposite the loading area) is for blasting and peening. A robot controls the nozzles. The number of nozzles is determined by the loading volume, production rate, and piece shape. This machine is beneficial for manual loading and unloading, but it may also be outfitted with an automatic handling device based on the process line requirement (2-axis gantry, robot). Pressure technology with a double pressure vessel is placed on such equipment to ensure continuous shot flow with no interruptions. Magnetic Valves might be installed at each pressure vessel outflow to check shot flow. The equipment may be outfitted with up to three peening robots.
