Standard Production Floor Models (4kW – 10kW)

Decision Factors: What to Evaluate Before You Buy
1. Material mix and maximum thickness
List every material and thickness you cut today, plus what you'd like to cut. Size the machine to handle your top 95th percentile — not the thickest piece you've ever been asked for once.
2. Production volume
How many hours per day do you need the laser running to meet your backlog? If 4 hours/day covers your current volume, a 3kW is fine. If you need 16–20 hours per day to stay ahead, size up the machine and plan for automation.
3. Floor space and electrical infrastructure
Standard production machines need approximately 8m × 6m floor area minimum (with operator space). Check your available three-phase amperage — a 6kW machine requires 60–80A dedicated three-phase service.
4. Automation budget
A standalone machine at $200K with a $25K pallet changer will outperform a $250K machine with no automation. Factor automation into your initial budget rather than treating it as an optional add-on.
Buying a machine sized for today's volume with no room to grow. If your business is growing, buy for 2–3 years out — the incremental cost of the next power tier is small compared to buying a second machine in 18 months.
