Cookie Policy

Effective: June 24, 2026 Last Updated: June 24, 2026 Site: risetekmachinery.com

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on risetekmachinery.com, why we use them, and how you can control them. For broader privacy information, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them).

Similar technologies include web beacons (pixel tags), local storage, and browser fingerprinting. This policy covers all such technologies used on our site.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

3. Essential Cookies

risetekmachinery.com is a static website served via Vercel's edge network. We do not use server-side sessions, PHP, authentication systems, or cookie-consent management platforms. As a result, we do not set any first-party essential cookies on your device.

The only cookies placed on your browser when visiting our site originate from the third-party services described in sections 4–6 below (Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta Pixel). These are loaded through Google Tag Manager and are documented in full in those sections.

Vercel (our hosting provider) may set infrastructure-level cookies (e.g. for DDoS protection or edge routing) that are outside our control. These are documented in Vercel's Privacy Policy.

4. Analytics Cookies — Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with Measurement ID G-H58WVH524S to understand how visitors interact with our website. This helps us improve content, navigation and performance. All data is aggregated and anonymised before we review it.

CookieSet ByPurposeDuration
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number 2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXX Google Analytics 4 Maintains session state for GA4 measurement 2 years
_gid Google Analytics Distinguishes users — resets each session 24 hours
_gat Google Analytics Throttles request rate (limits data collection on high-traffic sites) 1 minute

Data collected includes: pages viewed, time on site, device type, browser, approximate location (city level), and referring URL. No personally identifiable information is passed to Google Analytics. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use GA4 User-ID features.

6. Meta (Facebook) Pixel Cookies

The Meta Pixel on our website allows us to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram advertising and build audiences for retargeting. When you visit our website, the Meta Pixel fires and can match your browser to your Facebook profile (if you are logged in) to report whether our ads led to website actions.

CookieSet ByPurposeDuration
_fbp Meta (Facebook) Used by Facebook to deliver a series of advertisement products such as real-time bidding from third-party advertisers 90 days
_fbc Meta (Facebook) Stores the click information from Facebook Ads (fbclid parameter) 90 days
fr facebook.com Used by Facebook for ad delivery and measurement 90 days
datr facebook.com Identifies the browser for fraud prevention and security 2 years

We have implemented Meta's Limited Data Use settings for Canadian visitors. Data is processed by Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA under their Data Policy.

7. Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager (container ID GTM-P883SHK) to manage all tracking tags on our website from a single interface. GTM itself does not set any cookies directly — it is simply a delivery mechanism for the tags described in sections 4–6 above.

All tags loaded through GTM are listed in this Cookie Policy. GTM does not give Google any information about our website visitors beyond what the individual tags already collect.

8. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our website are set by third-party services that appear in our pages. These third parties have their own privacy policies and cookie notices:

Third PartyService Used ForPrivacy Policy

Meta Platforms Inc. Facebook/Instagram advertising pixel facebook.com/policy.php
Cloudinary Inc. Image and video delivery CDN cloudinary.com/privacy

9. How Long Cookies Last

Cookies on our website fall into two duration categories:

  • Session cookies — these expire when you close your browser. They are used for security (CSRF protection) and maintaining form state.
  • Persistent cookies — these remain on your device for a defined period (from 15 minutes for test_cookie to 2 years for _ga). The exact duration for each cookie is listed in the tables above.

11. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when cookies are set. Here are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of this and other websites you visit. In particular, disabling essential cookies may prevent you from submitting quote request forms correctly.

12. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We review this Cookie Policy periodically and may update it when we add new tracking technologies, change third-party providers, or in response to changes in applicable law. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made.
