This Privacy Policy applies to Rise Tek Machinery Inc. and all services, websites and digital tools operated under the risetekmachinery.com domain. By using our website or submitting a quote request you agree to the practices described here.

Rise Tek Machinery Inc. ("Rise Tek", "we", "us", "our") is a Canadian company specialising in the sale, distribution, and support of industrial fiber laser cutting machines, CNC press brakes, plate rolls, and related metal-fabrication equipment.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Quote / Lead Forms — full name, company name, email address, phone number, city, country, machine interest, budget range, and any project details you include.
  • Contact Form Submissions — messages sent through our website contact page.
  • Google Ads Lead Forms — name, email, phone, city and country collected when you submit a lead form attached to one of our Google Ads.
  • Service Requests — machine serial number, fault description, preferred service date.
  • Phone & WhatsApp communications — call logs and WhatsApp messages when you contact our sales or service team.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Browser type, operating system, device type
  • Pages visited, time on page, referring URL
  • Google Click ID (GCLID) — appended to URLs when you arrive via a Google Ad
  • Meta Click ID (fbclid) — appended when you arrive via a Meta/Facebook Ad
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy)

3. Quotation Process Data

When you request a quote for machinery from Rise Tek, we collect and process the following data to prepare an accurate commercial proposal:

Quote data is stored securely in our internal CRM system. It is never sold to third parties. It may be shared with Han's Laser Technology (manufacturer) only as required to confirm machine specifications, pricing, and availability.

What Google Collects

These services may collect your IP address, cookie identifiers, device information, pages visited, and how you interact with our website. Data is processed by Google LLC in the United States under Google's own privacy policy and standard contractual clauses.

Google Analytics data is anonymised before storage. We do not enable User-ID features or cross-device tracking that would link your browsing to a personally identifiable profile.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can manage all Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.

6. Meta (Facebook) Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel on our website to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns. The pixel:

  • Records page views and key events (e.g. quote form submissions)
  • Allows us to build Custom Audiences of website visitors for retargeting
  • Reports conversion data back to Meta Ads Manager

Meta Pixel data is processed by Meta Platforms Inc. (USA) under Meta's Data Policy. We have implemented Meta's Limited Data Use mode for Canadian visitors. You can manage your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/ads/preferences or opt out of interest-based advertising via the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada at youradchoices.ca.

7. Google Ads Lead Forms

We use Google Ads Lead Form Extensions which allow users to submit contact information directly within a Google Ad without visiting our website. When you submit such a form:

  • Your name, email, phone number, city and country are transmitted to us via a secure webhook
  • Data is stored immediately in our internal CRM and Supabase database
  • Our sales team will contact you within 1 business day
  • Google also retains a copy of the submission for 30 days in Google Ads

Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. By submitting a lead form you consent to Rise Tek contacting you about the enquiry.

8. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the stated purpose or as required by Canadian law:

  • Inquiries that did not result in a sale — 2 years from last contact
  • Customer purchase records — 7 years (Canada Revenue Agency requirement)
  • Marketing analytics data — 26 months (Google Analytics default)
  • Google Ads lead form data (Google copy) — 30 days
  • Website server logs — 90 days

10. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) gives you the following rights regarding your personal information held by Rise Tek:

  • Right to Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Right to Withdraw Consent — opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Right to Deletion — request erasure of data we are not legally required to retain
  • Right to Complain — file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca

11. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information:

  • All data transmitted via our website uses TLS 1.2+ encryption (HTTPS)
  • Our database infrastructure (Supabase) is SOC 2 Type II certified
  • Access to CRM data is restricted to authorised Rise Tek personnel
  • We conduct regular reviews of our privacy and security practices

Despite these measures no transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you believe your information has been compromised please contact us immediately.

12. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for business professionals and are not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on our homepage for 30 days. Continued use of our website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
