The SL Series is Han’s Laser’s semi-automated loading unit — the right first step out of full manual sheet handling. A welded gantry main frame carries a vacuum-suction truss with independent solenoid control for adaptive sheet pickup, fed continuously by a 4-tonne raw material truck on rails. Up to 40mm sheet thickness, 60 m/min beam travel, and integration with your Han’s Laser fiber cutter’s CNC. Lower capital than SLU full-automation; massively higher throughput than a forklift and a fab tech.

The SL Series integrates loading/unloading controls, automated feeding, CNC cutting, and material handling into one workflow — boosting efficiency, cutting labour and operating cost, while keeping operation simple and operator-friendly.

Gantry Main Frame

Every gantry component is welded from profiles using a four-stage process: weld, rough machine, vibration aging, then precision machine. The result solves stress caused by welding and machining — your gantry stays in tolerance long after the warranty period. The bridge beam carries a finely machined flat guide surface for the crossbeam to glide on.

Truss with Dual Servo Drive

The truss assembly carries the transmission mechanism, guide device, and bearings. Two servo motors drive the system: one moves the crossbeam forward and back; the other drives the material tray up and down. The truss travels horizontally along the gantry on cam bearings — fast, repeatable, low-maintenance.

Vacuum Suction Cup Feeding Device

A welded main frame carries the guidance-transmission system and the vacuum suction cups — each cup independently controlled by its own solenoid valve. The rig adapts to varying board dimensions for rapid, precise pickup. Travel-limit sensors and anti-collision devices guarantee secure lifting.

4-Tonne Raw Material Truck

The automatic assembly line is fed by a 4-tonne raw material truck that moves on rails into and out of the loading position. Configurable as a feeder truck (replaces the material warehouse for low-cost automatic feeding) or as a sorting truck (centralizes finished workpieces and waste material) — your choice depending on shop layout and downstream sorting workflow.

SL Series — FAQ

The SL Series is semi-automatic — it handles vacuum-cup loading and sheet transfer to the cutter, but unloading and sorting are still manual. The SLU Series adds automated unloading via comb-fork, dual electronic carts, and full-cycle automation. The ALU Series is full lights-out automation with multi-level storage tower, dual robots, and FMS smart control. SL is the right starting point for shops upgrading from full manual loading at the lowest capital cost.
The SL-3015 handles sheets up to 3000 × 1500 × 40 mm with maximum carry-on weight of 1,400 kg — paired with 3015-format laser cutters. The SL-4020 handles larger 4000 × 2000 × 40 mm sheets at 2,500 kg max payload — paired with 4020-format cutters. Same loading speed (60 m/min), same hoist speed (8 m/min), same 4T raw-material truck. Only the working envelope and payload capacity differ.
Up to 40 mm. The vacuum-cup loading device is rated for heavier plate than most entry-tier loading systems — a real advantage for shops cutting structural steel, heavy plate, or thick gauge stainless. Maximum carry-on weight per cycle is 1,400 kg (SL-3015) or 2,500 kg (SL-4020).
SL and SLU are different physical systems — SL is a single-machine vacuum loader, SLU is a full C-shaped bracket assembly line with comb-fork unloading and dual carts. Upgrading typically means replacing the cell rather than retrofitting. If you anticipate moving to SLU within 2–3 years, talk to RiseTek about whether starting with SLU directly is the better total-cost-of-ownership decision.
The SL integrates natively with Han’s Laser fiber cutters in the corresponding format: SL-3015 with 3015-format machines (HF Expert, HF Series, HF S Smart / Standard, MINI S, G-O, G-F), and SL-4020 with 4020-format machines (HF 50 Series, larger HF and G platforms). Native CNC integration — not a third-party retrofit.
The 4-tonne truck is configurable. As a feeder truck it carries raw material into the loading position. As a sorting truck it collects finished workpieces and waste material in one place — supporting either centralized sorting or single-sheet sorting workflows. Most shops run a mix.
Every SL system from RiseTek includes on-site installation, full system commissioning, calibration with your fiber laser cutter, and operator/maintenance training by certified Canadian technicians. Han’s Laser’s standard warranty applies. RiseTek’s local service department maintains a Canadian parts inventory for fast turnaround. All systems meet CSA electrical safety standards.
